The IKA Midi MR 1 is a digital magnetic stirrer (without heating), designed for laboratory mixing tasks. It is part of IKA’s IKAMAG line of magnetic stirrers. A magnetic stir bar inside the vessel is rotated by a rotating magnetic field created by the unit, thereby stirring the liquid. Because it doesn’t include a heating function, it’s suitable where temperature control must be handled separately (e.g. with external heating or thermostatic baths).
